separation anxiety?

i have an almost 7 year old JRT. occasionally he gets an upset stomach, produces mucus-ey stools in between perfectly fine stools, will not eat his food, wants to eat grass, still wants to exercise. Today is one of those days. i can't think of anything that is different about his diet and exercise routine? i have a dog walker (the same one for the last 4 years) who comes everyday to play with him at midday and, when i stay out late, comes and plays with him at around 5-6pm. He gets fed at regular times, only little amounts. Have you heard of anything like this before in other Jacks?
He eats the same very bland food all the time and the same type of treats all the time. I have taken him to the vet and they don't see anything wrong with him (i've shown them the mucus-ey stool too). he's not losing weight. i am worried when he doesn't eat, naturally.
