Question:

: I wrote in yesterday about my Jack Russell running around the house and barking at the ceiling and generally hyper and hiding under the furniture. I thought you might like to know he saw the vet today and was diagnosed with a compulsive disorder associated with high strung breeds. Compulsive fly biting disease. I may not have the name completely correct. They took blood from him to check his liver and from there will decide which medication to give him. Also can lead to seizures if not treated. Have you heard of this?

I am sorry I did some searches on the Internet about the information you provided and came up with Nil. I haven't heard of this but before I put my dog on any medication, I would get a second opinion.

Jack Russells aren't high strung, and if they are acting that way then, they aren't getting the exercise that they need or require. I am not saying that your Vet is wrong please don't misunderstand but this isn't something that I have ever heard of much less in Jack Russells and at least not for the 17 years I have had these guys.
sorry I can't help you.
Regards
Linda
