Question:

: We have just adopted a JRT. He is 2 years old and fairly well trained. He will let us know when he needs to go out and he does not get into or chew anything. He is attatched to me though. Everywhere I go he needs to be there. He also goes to the bathroom soon after we put him in his room at night. This is the only time he goes in the house. What should our first step be to solve this minor problem?

Make sure you are taking him out right before you are putting him in his room for the night and make sure that he does all his business when he goes outside, so this means you go with him and then praise him when everything is accomplished. Don't come back inside untill he does his business and they he shouldn't have to eliminate in the room.
There are some great housebreaking tips in the FAQ
