Question:

: i have an almost 7 year old JRT. occasionally he gets an upset stomach, produces mucus-ey stools in between perfectly fine stools, will not eat his food, wants to eat grass, still wants to exercise. Today is one of those days. i can't think of anything that is different about his diet and exercise routine? i have a dog walker (the same one for the last 4 years) who comes everyday to play with him at midday and, when i stay out late, comes and plays with him at around 5-6pm. He gets fed at regular times, only little amounts. Have you heard of anything like this before in other Jacks?
: He eats the same very bland food all the time and the same type of treats all the time. I have taken him to the vet and they don't see anything wrong with him (i've shown them the mucus-ey stool too). he's not losing weight. i am worried when he doesn't eat, naturally.

Your Vet is right sometimes they will do this and then it will clear up, I personally don't see that this is anything to worry about especially if your Vet isn't concerned and if it is just happening every once in a while. Dogs will get upset tummies just like people do and this is how they react. If you are really concerned about it then please get a second opinion.
