Question:

: Our dog is a joy to be around at 4 months old, barring the normal housebreaking and nipping. He loves to be close to our faces, unfortunately his breath in the last 3 weeks has been bad. I have started brushing his teeth about once a week with a minut amount of over the counter(human)toothpaste, and it does the job for a day or so. But then the little guys breath returns to the bad odor within two days. Should I be doing somethinbg else? Should we stop feeding him the rawhide bones?

Please see the post already on the board about teething, this is something that happens at this age and during teething. PLEASE DO NOT use human toothpaste, go to the Vet or pet store and get toothpast formulated of dogs. There are many posts on the board and in the Jan Archives about Rawhides, please take time to read the board.
See your Vet for futher help.
Thanks
Linda
