Jack-a-Beagle

This week, my family and I rescued an eight week old puppy from the Humane Society. We were told the puppy was a Beagle mix, fell in love and brought her home. When I took her to our vet, he informed me there was strong evidence that this puppy is a JRT, with some Beagle in it too.

I have two children, ages 7 and 4, and a one-year-old Border Collie. Our JRT has adjusted well, but is very interested in "owning" all of our Border Collie's toys. My husband is worried about holes in the yard. We've all grown very fond of Kimmi, and she's quickly getting the hang of housebreaking and crate training. But suddenly, I'm freaking out.

Tell me, am I overreacting or can this all work out?
