Nothing ever comes out but she seems a little upset afterwards and looks at me with her lovely eyes. Of course it hurts me to see her experience this. Is this the same thing as the other coughing concerns I've read about or possibly related to collapsed trachea or "kennel cough"?

Hi Paul,
You are absolutely right, and answered your own question. A trip to the vet is in order. We are not vets, and even if we were, a diagnosis can't be made over the internet. This could be any number of things, or perhaps nothing, just a tickle in the throat. I wish we could help more, but sometimes this board isn't the right place for certain questions.
