: My JRT's obedience school instructor told me that my female JRT is too fat. She weighs about 13 lbs. and seems the right height for a JRT. She a year and a half old this month. I realize that you'd have to see her before giving me your opinion. Unfortunately, I don't have a pic to send. I'm feeding her Nutro's Natural Choice Lamb and Rice but switched her to Nutro's Natural Choice High Energy because it has more protein in it. Now I've been told to get her on Nutro's light dry food because it is better for her. I didn't mention this , but I normally give her half a cup of dry and a tablespoon of canned twice a day. I take her for walks and she runs all over my house so she should be getting ample exercise. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Barry I can't tell you this because I can't see the dog in person. I don't feed canned food no matter what brand it is, only dry.
Weight depends on Bone, height, and a lot of things. Running in the house won't give your dog proper exercise but running outside will.
