| Question: My husband and I have recently purchased an eight-month old male JRT. We are probably going to have him recorded (we will most likely neuter him shortly), but I had two questions about this. Because we got him from the breeder at an older age, she had already given him a name. We decided to change it, but his original name is on the pedigree the breeder gave us. So, my first question is do we need to get a new pedigree with the name we gave him on it in order to record him as that, or will we be allowed to change his name even if we submit the current pedigree (with the old name on it). My second question is also a matter of name. If possible we would like him to have the breeder's prefix. How do I find out whether the kennel name is listed with the JRTCA? Are only those kennels listed on the Breeder's Directory web page officially listed with the JRTCA. Thanks so much for the information.
