itching ears

Question:

I have 3 JRT and they are always licking each others ears. My question is: In my males right ear, there is a squishy sound that is produced whenever I rub him on the ear (around the bulb). I have cleaned it out with alcohol, with an ear wax removal system. When I use q-tios, a thick brown wax comes out. He is constantly scraching at it. Any ideas?
