Question:

: PLEASE HELP !!! I have a 9 month old Jack Russell who constantly eliminates in his crate. I have read all you info and other postings. I cut the crate in 1/2 so he does not have room to eliminate, he still does, I changed his diet to Iams which is suppose to make them eliminate less, I even feed him in his crate. Everyday when I come home he has done his business in the crate (both) What else can I do, I am tired of cleaning the crate and giving the dog a bath on a daily basis. P.S In crate for approx 6 hours, gets plenty of excersise walk a mile every night, and he is fed smaller amounts earlier in the evening.

OK Here goes and you may think this is harsh but a mile walk every day isn't enought for you dog to be well adjusted. THe lack of proper exercise can cause all sorts of problems and house breaking and defication in the crate are just some of them.
When does this puppy get out to play, why is he being crate all the time? Sorry but you do have a problem, and Jack Russell need hours of outdoor exercise not just a mile a day.
There isn't any reason for a puppy to be deficating in his crate unless he isn't getting out when he needs to go, it is just this plain and simple, he shouldn't be crated for this long without a break, if he can't hold it.
I don't know what your solution is, I don't have this problem, and don't have housebreaking problems because I don't crate them for long periods, and they get the time outside that they need.
Please go back and read all of the housebraking and Crating post, and the FAQ's on this subject. Use the search enging but there are only two reason he is pooping in his crate and that is because he isn't getting the exercise he needs and he IS being crated for too long.
