Question:

: I have a 7-year old, neutered male JR that suddenly starting urinating in the house after being house trained since he was a 1-year old. I believe that he only urinates in the bathroom (near the toilet) or in the kitchen - at least he's not going on a carpeted area. He has access to the outdoors at all times through a dog door and I regularly take him to a nearby park to play 'fetch the tennis ball.' When I discover his messing, I let him know of my displeasure and he seems fully aware of what he has done and that it is a bad thing. What is going on here, and how might I correct this behavior? Thanks for your assistance.

Hi John, The first thing I would do is have him Vet checked, to see if there is a medical reasoning behind this, most of the time when something like this occurs there is a medical problem. After having him checked by your Vet and if there isn't anything wrong, then crate him when you can't watch him, this is the only thing I know to do.
Sorry I can't be of more help
Regards
Linda
