Question:

: Our JRT male is 9 months old. He doesn't nip me and rarely even mouths me any more. He sits when I tell him, stays, comes most of the time, etc... (This is the one I keep working on) and is very affectionate. My husband has a bad back and is forced to spend lots of time lying on the floor or couch. The dog nips him, bites his clothing, never does as he tells him and basically jumps all over him, while my husband yells at him and has a very hard time generally getting the pup to obey him at all. Help!

Most likey when your husband is on the floor you puppy thinks that he is there to play with him, since he is on the same level with him.
Why not try crating him when your husband is on the floor and see if this helps, and you can also have your husband take over the care, feeding and other things too. If this doesn't work then try finding a trainer/behaviorist that can help you in person. It is really hard to deal with these types of problems on a Message Board since we can't actually see what is going on, in person. Ask your Vet for help in finding a trainer/behaviors or go to the Link below.

Linda
