: we just got our puppy and when we went to put a collar on him, he acts very weird. he runs to every corner and pouts and rubs himself along the carpet. he also scratches himself like crazy. is there something wrong or is this just something new for him that he has to get used to?

No need to panic, it can take a while for him to get used to it. Don't worry he will soon be fine, but I don't use collars unless I am walking them, cause cause of the risk of them getting them hung and choking. Please watch your puppy when he wears a collar.
