urination

My JRT is two years old and was housetrained. He is not nutered yet. We had a friend stay with her dog for a couple of months and her dog urintated in the house. Now my JRT is urinating everywhere even after being outside. I don't know how to fix this problem. I don't know if fixing him would help solve the problem. I went back to trying like we did when he was a puppy but that isn't working. If he is in his crate he will find a spot (usually where the other dog has gone) as soon as he gets out and of course does it when we aren't looking. Do you have any advise? My husband is wanting to get rid of him but he is a wonderful dog outside of this problem and I love him too much to see him go somewhere else.
