Question:

: Are Jack Russell is about 11 weeks old. We've had him for 4 days and now am begining to wonder if we've made a mistake. The puppy nips and bites all the time and has shown aggression toward us. When we put our hand over his mouth so that he bites himself rather than us he becomes even more aggressive coming at us attacking. Is this something that will better over time or that dog training can help and how long are we looking at before we see improvement in his behavior? We also have cat's which he hasn't had a chance to get at but if he attacks us the way he does we are concerned about the cats too.

Please call your breeder that you got the puppy from for help with these problem! You can look at the Nipping and Bitting FAQ Nipping FAQ and the Cat FAQ, Cats FAQ for more help with this also.

Please remember that any corrections take time, and you are expecting a miracle in 4 days, this isn't going to happen. Any trainning take time and a lot of effort on the owners part. Also remember that your puppy is still very much a baby and he/she also needs time to adjust to his/her new inviorment.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but a reputable breeder doesn't just sell you a puppy they also will help you adjust to your new puppy and help you with any problems, so your best bet is to call him/or her
