Overeating

Question:

Hello,

I have a male jack russell that will eat till he drops. He was born 2-3-01 and I give him 1/2 a cup of food a day of Scientific Diet. I also have other animals in the house which have food bowls and my jack will attack the food if we are not watching every second. I will solve that problem by putting those bowls out of reach but would like to know if this can be changed? I would like to have a big bowl out for him so that he can eat when he is hungry. Is this possible with this breed?
