leg fracture

Question:

My 3 1/2 month old JRT, Tyson, fractured a bone in his front leg last week. Although the vet took exrays, he could not specifically see the fracture due to the many growth plates that puppies have. The vet wrapped his leg in a cast-like bandage which he took off today. Tyson has still not put any pressure on the leg yet. I'm a little concerned that he may have a problem with his leg permanently. Has anyone ever had a similar experience with their JRT and if so, what is your advise??
