Question:

: My JRT has started chewing at my furniture when I am not home. I attribute this to separation anxiety. I just read your article on this subject. One part of the article advised ignoring the dog for 3 weeks. Any suggestions on how to do this when I am virtually the only care giver? My work hours are also not consistent. Some days I go in very early, other days I kgo in late, but also work very late. Is there any hope for success with my hours?

Jean, I read both of the FAQ's on Anxity and I didn't see anything about ignoring your dog for 3 weeks.
To me this sounds more like boredum rather than seperation anxity, most UNCRATED terriers when left to their own devices will chew, because they are bored and this can easily corrected buy Crating your dog when you are not at home and giving your dog more exercise, Remember that tired dogs don't chew, they sleep.
