: Just had a quick question on our 1 yr. old female's new found love. We are up in Chicago and the weather is finally starting to get nice. Whenever we take our JRT for a walk now she loves to just dive or do a belly flop in the tallest grass we walk by. She doesn't want to get up and continue walking unless we wave a treat at her. She's just content with laying/rolling in the grass. Just curious at why she loves doing this. Is this just another example of a crazy JRT trait or is there some new spring smell dogs are in love with?

She's just enjoying the great weather and the soft sweet smelling grass. Give it a try. I have been known to lay in the cool tall grass myself on ocassion to read or relax.
