Question:

: After leaving my Jack in the kitchen while i was going to change clothes, i came backin to find her covered.. and i do mean covered from head to toe in Crisco/a tea mix. She had it all over, her whiskers where now a nice tan color along with her font legs. Their were also huge spots of tea on the kitchen floor.. and little bars of criso with tiny teeth marks in them. I fell to the floor laughing as Jackie stood there staring me down with the face of "what.. i didnt do anything" she got a bath.. and trust me criso is not easy to get off.. smart lil terrors arent they? *L* and i do have a queston.. Jackie is 5 months old and already almost 15 pounds.. is this normal? or is she just weird?

Hi Tiger,
Very funny! I bet she was a real mess. If she still has a greasy residue, try a little diluted Dawn dishwashing liquid. This may be drying on her skin, so a doggie cream rinse may be in order. But, better than greasy dog everywhere!
As for size, it's really hard to tell. Some pups mature very quickly, and she may be nearly full-sized already. Or, maybe she's just going to be one big girl. Make sure she is fed appropriate amounts, on a schedule, and that her ribs are not visible but that you can feel them when you run your fingers down her ribcage.
Have fun!
Heather
