If she resists being caught, keep some really yummy treats handy and use those to grab her. My dogs have been through obedience and know the "stay" command but I still do not trust them outside. If will probably take a lot less time to use the treat than it takes to catch her when she escapes. As for the digging, if she is just doing it in the one spot you might try a "mulch mat". It is a solid mat that is made to go around the trunk of trees. I just found one at the local Lowe's store. You could also put down some hardware cloth and cover it with regular mulch and see if this helps. Best, |
