Hi Jessie,
There are tons of posts on crate training on the board, as well as many books and articles on the web. If you use the search engine and/or scan the board, you'll find a post Claudia wrote just a few days ago. It linked several articleson crate training.
Crate training effects JRTs the same way to effects other canines-- quite favorably the vast majority of the time. It's well worth your time to learn about it and impliment it with your dog!
