| Question: : Where would be a safe place to leave my puppy if it had to be home alone? ------------------ Response Area ------------------- Hi Angel. The safest place for a puppy or a dog is a crate. I will provide you with a link for crate training below. It is not cruel. The dog sees the crate as its den. They are safe and cannot get in harm's way. The house is filled with many things that can kill your jrt. The worst part is, you are not home to save them or to see what they got into. You may think that he is safe if he is in an area in the kitchen which is cornered off--but what if he decides to chip off some of the paint from scratching or biting--what if the chip loges? What if he jumps over the barrier and gets into stuff? In its crate it will just sleep. Leave it plenty of cool water and its favorite and comfy blanket and he will be fine. Remember, he is a pup so time so be limited in the crate.
