| Question: : My JRT has really long hairs on his tail. He has a smooth coat. I was wondering how you cut the hairs so it looks right. : Thanks! ------------------ Response Area ------------------- Hi there. Below is a link on grooming your jack. Jacks are hand stripped for the most part. We literally using our hands or a stripper just pull the hair out. Mind you, we do not grab a chunk and yank. The dead hairs are basically plucked off. Call your breeder and ask her to show you how to groom your jrt. I personally like to use what is known as a dresser. It does not pull as much and is much easier on me. You can get one from www.thejackrussellstore.com There are several Jack Russell books on this web site at the store which you can also read to show you how to groom your jack. Good luck, Claudia A.
