blue eyed JRT

Question:

I have owned JRTs for 15 years now. This morning I saw a sweet little girl who had baby blue eyes and the markings of a blue australian shepard. I asked if it was a cross and the man said no it was full blooded JRT. He said the breeder told him that 10 generations previous that they had breed to an australian shepard but this one was full JRT. Is that possible?
