Question:

: Hi, in reply to Lauri about the electric fence. Do yourself and your dog a huge favor and put up traditional fencing. We also debated about what type of fence and went with the split rail and inside fencing. Best decision we ever made - tonight was the perfect example when there was a german shepherd loose in our neighborhood and entered the yard of a neighbor with an invisible fence and went after their dog - the shepherd was finally distracted when our adorable Bailey went out barking her head off, safely behind a fence. Invisible fencing may or may not keep your JRT in its boundaries, but it will allow anything and everything to enter your yard and be a serious threat to your pet - unless your nearest neighbor is 3 miles or more away, please go with traditional fencing.

Hi Peggy.

Thank you for the post.

I posted your note because it shares with everyone your experiences.

The electrical fence issue is greatly debated --here and else where. So I thought your side of the story should be printed.

Remember though that not everyone has that option. Some towns do not permit fences and this may be the only way to save your jr's life.

Good luck to you and thak you,
