Question:

: I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A JRT AND HAVE FOUND ALOT OF BREEDERS CALLING THEIR JRTS SHORT LEGGED. WHEN I ASK HOW TALL MEASURING UP TO ITS SHOULDER THEY SAY 12". IS THIS A TRUE JRT? ALSO, CAN YOU REGISTER A JRT IF NONE OF ITS BOODLINE HAS BEEN REGISTERED? THANK YOU, CONFUSED!

First and formost the Terrier must meet the breed standard in order to be registered. I will give you a link to both the Breed Standard
JRTCA Breed Standard and to Registration, JRTCA Registration
Most shorty do not meet the standard and therefore can't be registered. Each Terrier has to meet the standard no matter if the dogs in his/her pedigree are registered.
