Teeth

My Jack Russell of course loves to play fetch, with or without you. She loves Tennis balls and will chew all of the outside off until she has just the plastic ball. Over the years her teeth have become very flat instead of sharp. I am wondering if this is from the tennis balls and if there is a solution. She would be lost without them and I've tried replacing it with hard balls but she doesn't like them as much.
