Question:

: When I leave my dog alone during the day when I am at work, my neighbors say he barks all day long non stop. How can I keep him from barking???? He gets lots of exercise when Im home. Please help!!!!

Hi Melissa,
As I said below, barking often occurs when your dog is bored and under exercised. I would say that no matter how much exercise you dog is getting while you are home isn't enough to keep him well exercise and in the proper enviorment while you are at work.
This is one of the main reasons that we don't recommend Terriers for close city living. This is a breed that is bred to bark and yes when they are left alone for long periods of time without the proper exercise they do bark.

FIrst of all before buying a bark collar, I would suggest that you correct this in other ways, you can have someone come in and let him out to exercise, running in the yard or just some hard playing, or you can look into Doggie Day Care. Please remember that Just walking on a lead 3 or 4 times a day isn't sufficent for this breed, they need more than that.

Sorry but in this case I don't recommend a Bark Collar of any type, but rather more exercise during the day!! Your dog is bored and this is why he is barking
