: My husband has brought home a Jack Russell Puppy he is absolutely beautiful, but I am anxious as my youngest child is only 6 years old and I have been told that JRT are not really good dogs to be around children. I want to make a decision as to what to do with him even though it would break my heart, I am already attached to this little puppy but also have to consider by children. Please could you give me some advice as a decision is going to be very painful and I want to make it as quickly as possible. I know he should have looked into the breed before purchasing. I have done some research and have read that they should not be with children under 8 years of age.

It can work but it totally up to you and how you handle the situation.
