Will my JR get along with a Black Lab?

I have an 11 month old female JR and am currently interested in getting a 7 week old Black Lab puppy. I've heard that JR's exhibit same sex aggression towards other JR's but I don't know if it crosses over to other breeds. I want to get a female Black Lab because of the fact that they are generally less territorial than males. However, I would consider a male if my JR would be aggressive toward a female. Also, I guess I don't know if the two breeds can coexist peacefully. Please give me some advise.
