JR Lifting Hind Leg whilst Running

Question:

Hi

I have noticed, both in my own JR and other people's, that they sometimes lift one hind leg from the ground whilst in a "leisurely exercise" situation.

If he's SERIOUSLY running then he uses all 4 legs. There doesnt appear to be anything wrong with the hind leg - he just appears to be holding it in reserve or something.

Have you any idea what causes this?
