halti leaders

I teach obedience classes and I just wanted to tell everyone about a bad halti experience. I've never used them and don't recommend them for my students. A very excited rottweiler came in for his first class yesterday. He was wearing a halti and was trying to bark and play at the same time. His owner gave a firm pull on the halti and the dog nearly bit his tounge off. Needless to say, it was a bloody mess all over my floor, and they took the dog to the vet. I know that haltis have been very effective for some dogs and some trainers swear by them, but after the incident last night, I have to say that I now REALLY don't like them.
