Question:

: I have a two year old bitch named Maisie. I would love to register her with the JRTCA, however, I'm concerned that she would be refused due to her nose color. The majority of her nose leather is black, but there are some white patches. Is this common or a sign of poor breeding? Her dam and sire both had plain black noses.

Hi Lisa,
Only the registrar can tell you if your dog is acceptable for registration, with the pictures that you will send in and how the Vet that does your Vet Cerf. will mark the nose.

No, this isn't a sign of poor breeding, just the pigmentation didn't fill all the way in and it happens in some lines.
Please contact the Club office directly regarding any questions that you may have about this.
