Question:

: A male 3 year old JRT had fleas. They are now gone but the dog continues to nip at the air around him as if he is catching flying bugs. The Vet had put him on Benadryl which was not much help. He thinks it could be an allergy. Have you ever heard of this before? If so, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Dawn,
I would strongly suggest that you see a specialist in the neurological field, this type of biting at the air can often be a sign of a neurological problem. It may just be a left over from the fleas but is can be a sign of a more serious problem.
Sorry I can't be of more help since we aren't Vets on this forum.
Regards
Linda
