| Question: : Occasionally my Jack will gasp for air, sounds sort of like a snorting noise. So naturally I took him to the vet to get looked at. There's nothing wrong with him! I want to know if anyone else has come across this behavior. Sometimes its when were walking ( I use a body harness, so there is nothing around his neck) or sometimes he does this when I'm busy doing something not including him. The vet suggested this was a beg for attention??? But it worries me, anyone else familiar with this? ------------------ Response Area ------------------- It sounds to me what your terrier is doing is called a "reverse sneeze." It is pretty common and nothing to be alarmed about. My terriers do this on occasion. Although is sounds really bad, it isn't. Hope this helps! |
