Question:

: Can you please give me some guidance or point me in the right direction as to how I can stop my JRT from barking while I'm at work? We have a doggie door and I like for her to be able to go in and out during the day, but if she doesn't quit, I will have to lock her inside.

: THank you

Hi Melissa,

If you use our search engine and put in the word bark or barking, it will pull up probably a gazillion previous posts regarding this subject.

I am sure there are plenty of posts where you will find some insight into the problem you are dealing with.

This also helps to cut down on duplicate questions.

Also keep in mind the JRT is a baying terrier. They have been bred to bark for over 200 years this will not be an easy thing to overcome as this behavior comes to them as naturally as breathing.

Regards,
Marie
