Sleeping w/ me

2 questions: Our 5 mth old sleeps w/ us at night. We are trying to crate train. Could this cause issues? She will do well when we are in the rm with her, she'll go into her box and pee or whatever but at night she'll got right near the box and come back to bed. Someone said not to let her sleep with us until she is competely housebroken.

2. She is very clingy, even when I leave the area she is normally in and she has run of the room - not in the crate. She will whine in the crate and when she is alone for more than a minute. HOw can I make her more confident?
