Hi Florence,

If your dog is running full tilt and then the flexi-lead suddenly is maxed out, yes it could injure your dog's neck. So be careful when using the flexi and don't let him hit the end of it after running 26 feet with a full head of steam.

I have the same flexis for mine and they are closely handled with the dogs to not go all out on them. Use the brake button to slow him down.
