Question:

: Until five months ago, I knew very little about this breed--other than the fact that "Wishbone" was completely adorable. I researched the breed, did some deep soul-searching and decided to take the plunge.
: And my oh my, what an adventure it's been!
: We brought Buzz home two and a half months ago as an 8-week-old puppy, spent the next month or so dying of sleep-deprivation, spraying everything that wasn't nailed down with bitter apple, retrieving socks DAY AND NIGHT, NIGHT AND DAY. . .just basically trying to go the extra mile and make sure we were doing all the right things.
: Buzz will be five months old on the 6th of November, he's doing well with potty-training and understands "drop-it" (which we say 100 times a day), knows "sit" and "down". . .he's 100 percent personality.
: We still have puppy issues, and we still have plenty of work ahead. . .but every day that passes I see our hard work paying off. Buzz "Aldrin" is just THE BEST. I love this breed and I'll never own another dog who isn't a Jack.
: You get lots of problem stories here. I just thought I'd share a success-in-progress story. Thanks.

Hi Karen,

Many of us feel the same way. If you work hard and really put in the effort, you couldn't ask for a more engaging, always funny, perpetually challenging companion.

Thanks for sharing your experience and also for making the commitment it takes to happily share your life with a JRT.

Best to you and Buzz and continued success!

Marie
