| Question: : Hi. I sort of adopted a 3 month old female Jack Russell in July. By August she was housebroken. I just recently got her fixed and all of a sudden she is urinating all over my floor and last night when I went to go to bed, I noticed that she urinated on the bed. I also have a male Jack Russell who is a year old and I know that it was not him. I don't know what to do, and as for the separation anxiety thing, I can't take her back to my vet (because they kind of messed up with the surgergy and the vet that I took her back to I can't take her there because she gets extemely car sick) and I don't know what to do or who to take her to. Please help. ------------------ Response Area ------------------- This sounds like it could be a medical problem that should be discussed with your vet. Call them and discuss this with them and if they think it warrants a trip then you will have to take her regardless of her getting carsick. I do know that sometimes spaying a female will make the dog leak sometimes. Dogs that all of a sudden start a behavior that they have never done is one that in all good chances, has a medical problem and not a psychological one. This could be a case of hormone deficiency, although it is rare, but this can happen after spaying. Your vet can check for this and it can be treated with medication. Please see a vet. Regards, |
