| Question: I don't have a question to ask, but I do have a strong warning. My best friend in the world got hit by a car today, that was my 2 year old Jack Russell, Spencer. I live on a 3.5 acre tract and live on a dead end road about a mile long. I never thought this would happen I let Spencer out to play with his 6th month old sister and he caught sight of a squirel that darted down my driveway (about 300 ft from the road) Spencer darted after the squirel and was hit by a van and broke his neck, killing him instantly. I can't stress enough to Jack Russell owners to PLEASE have a fence and not let them out as I did. I let my best friend down, because if I would have had a fence I wouldn't be typing this tonight. I will not let my other Jack out until my fence is complete first thing in the morning. Spencer was the perfect dog and I will miss him very much. Please if you don't have a fence get one ASAP, as in my situtation I didn't feel my Jack's were in danger but I was sadly mistaken.
