Question:

: I Have a pet pigeon and I just bought a Jack Russell puppy.
: Can I tame my pup to leave the bird alone without killing it with it's instinct before the pup gets older?

Hi Nick,
The hunting instinct is something that can't be trained, it is why we love this breed and what makes up the breed it's self. This is a hunting breed of terrier, and instincts can't be trained as in Potty training, etc. You can't train out something that is the make up of the breed, and that has been in place for 100's of years.
I would suggest that you keep them seperate because if you don't you aren't going to have a pet pigeon!!
Regards
Linda
