Question:
About 3 months ago, my wife and I got a fantastic little JRT ("Spike) who is behaving quite well and we are having a blast.
One thing that concerns me is how he seems almost jealous when my wife and I show any affection towards each other. Additionally, he seems to really enjoy giving us "kisses" (licks in my face area), specifically to me. Even a simple hug will cause him to jump on us, scratch us with his paws amd struggle to give me a "kiss".
Is this a problem? It's becoming more annoying as time goes on because he just goes crazy when he can't be right by me, and seems almost sad when I discipline him from this.
Is this normal? Have I spoiled him and this is his way of thanking me or is this something more? What can I do to get him to settle down with his affection towards me? He's a very sweet dog, and gives us next to no real problems...
