Question:

Recently I have read many stories about breeding on this forum. I have three dogs, and two of them probly should not be hear. In Jan of last year my husband was badly hurt at work, I spent my time with him at the hospital, and my two dogs were watched by family, my precious baby girl went into heat, and nobodie knew it. This was her first heat, and my male got to her. We did not know it till she was more then a month along, and no vet would recomend spaying. Abagail went into labor and everything was fine at first, then the first pup got stuck, she managed to get him out but by that time it was to late he died. The other three pups came out fine and lived, two females and a male. These pups took up many houres of my day, not to mention a lot of money. I sold two and kept the male, and had them all fixed. I just wanted to let people know that breeding is hard. If you don't know anything about it, leave it up to someone who does. There are a lot of dogs out there who need homes. Eventhough I sold two of them, to me I am responsiable for five dogs until the day they die, the people who bought my pups know that they can call me if they need to, and I will help them, don't do it unless you are willing to make that commitment. I could have lost my baby girl, and the thought of that scares me to death. please know what you are doing before this happens. Sorry this is long but I think it is important for people to hear. Thanks for your time.
