I want her to go potty in this when she is gated in, but when I am home and can take her out, will she not understand to go to the door to go potty outside? Will this confuse her or will she understand the "inside/outside" potty schedule?

Hi Jamie,

Probably not. You are giving her mixed signals. You are allowing her to relieve herself in your home so don't expect she will be signaling you to go outside. You will have to set a schedule for going out.
