Electronic Colar

Question:

Just a quick question. What are your thoughts about electronic colars (the ones used on hunting dogs, positive and negative tones, and zaps)? I think they are quite extreme for general use but others in my family feel differently. I can't imagine that they are the same as the electronic fences. Am I wrong? We've thought of getting one to work on some training issues, but I don't like the idea at all! I would rather do more hands on training and classes with my pup. What do you think?
