Question:

: I have searched the forum and read the breed standards. My jack has 2 spots on her body...they were origionally black, but are now brown with a thin layer of long black hair over it. She is only 3 months old, and she is supposed to be a broken coat, tri-color jack. Are these spots brindle or grizzle?
: I was thinking grizzle, and they may turn considering her age, but the standard doesn't say a word about grizzle markings.

Grizzle is an acceptable color pattern, brindle is not. Brindle is a strip pattern in the coloring, grizzle is more of a mix pattern between the colors. See the F&Q below for pictures.
