: I have a 1 1/2 year old female (spayed) JRT.
: She is at the time put in a crate during work hours (8 hours a day) in the winter. I thought that usually dogs will not urinate in their crate or where they sleep. Is she just crated too long? I have minimal options to let her out. Any advice?

Hi Michelle,
Yes, she is crated MUCH too long. Consider hiring someone to let her out to potty and play mid-day, or you'll just have to make arrangements to come home. If she is forced to potty in her crate continually, it will become a habit that is impossible to break.
